Royal Whitby

"We had an amazing stay and the Royal hotel in Whitby. The reception area is lovely and has been decorated really well. The staff could not do enough for you. They were very friendly and happy. The breakfast was good and the food was hot. The only thing was that the coffee was terrible. Please get a bet supply. We didn’t use the bar this time. We did have our room cleaned but the cleaner did not make our bed for some reason."

"Enjoyable and last minute stay. Nice to meet the owner when checking in. Comfortable room. Free parking scratch catch card if your able to park in the zone. Central to all areas of whitby Would absolutely return. 👍"

"The location of Broomfield is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the train and bus stations and the town centre. Our room was stunning, lots of space, immaculately clean and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay and if we're back in Whitby we will be booking in."

"Beaches guest house is situated on the west cliff which is very convenient to get into town and also visit the beach. Once you are in town, in doesn’t take long to cross the bridge and visit the abbey. It’s on street parking only, but we have been coming for years and always manage to get a spot. Tamsin, the owner, is always there when you arrive with a friendly smile and a chat. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The breakfast is great, with plenty of choice. Also, very reasonably priced. Most importantly, the Beaches is dog friendly! Well behaved dogs are always welcome."

"We were in room one large, spacious and clean with a good view over harbour and bridge. Good shower over bath with rubber safety mat and instant hot water. Two wardrobes with enough coat hangers. A small fridge would be very beneficial in each room (only six rooms). Although a small fridge is located on landing between floors one and two with a carton of milk supplied by hotel, we found it out of date and starting to go off. A very good breakfast with very, very good service the ex-RN who served us couldn’t do enough to ensure we enjoyed our four nights stay. Thanks we will return. ********"
