"Booked and paid for a double room 5 weeks in advance. At check-in, after waiting for staff to check multiple rooms it was discovered there were no double rooms available. I was then told I would be given a single with a roll away cot….but after more waiting, we found out there were no cots available. The desk person finally called the manager, who said the best they could do for me was 50% off of a second room. What a deal! 50% off of a room I should not have to pay for in the first place....

"My recent stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Virginia was okay, but there were a few areas that could use improvement. The staff was polite, but the overall service felt inconsistent, and some interactions didn’t meet the level of attentiveness I expected. "The location was excellent, right off I95, easy off, easy on. The room was clean, there was plenty of room for my stuff, the tv worked and there were plenty of channels to choose from. Breakfast was wonderful! Lots of choices, food was constantly being made and offered. Coffee was delicious. The only problem I found was the vent in the bathroom pushed the shower curtain into the shower area. Overall, a great place to stay."

"Perhaps this is a more general hotel thing cutting corners and not including stuff that used to be standard but there is basically no housekeeping. They change towels (no fresh linens, no cleaning) every other day. Literally we got new towels and a roll of toilet paper. Supposedly if you stay a week they clean the room. I’m sure it saves them a ton of money but the savings sure don’t seem to be passed on to the customer. We could have used the floor vacuumed but not gonna happen!
