"I always check the sheets as soon as we get anywhere. No bed bugs but the top sheet clearly had visible stains. We stayed in the hotel part of the resort. The only things I didnt like were that the sheets had stains and we were in the first room on the 1st floor so we heard the ice machine all night long. That was annoying. It rained the 1st night we were there so the kids swam in the pool while I enjoyed the hot tub. After a while my eyes started burning from what I guess is the pool chemicals. That pool area is hot and seems like theres no ventilation. We loved the inflatables and the drive wasnt that far either. We also did the Timbavati Zoo. That little beach on the resort is cute. I would definitely stay again but I think next time I'll try the little houses next to the hotel. I dont think I can do the tree houses because there are no bathrooms in there so we would have to share like how they do on campgrounds ... I'll pass on that. Staff was friendly but not knowledgeable. My self and another guest in a different occasion asked what was open late or family friendly restaurants nearby and they said they don't know. I know theres google but you would think if you work there you would know a little something, I'm just a tourist."

"We enjoyed our stay! The property was clean (parking lot is a little rough but there is plenty of parking) and so was our room. The staff we interacted with was very polite and helpful. The continental breakfast was about what you’d expect from a hotel chain, nothing terribly special but it was fresh and the eating area was kept clean. 14 years ago we honeymooned at this hotel and were back for the weekend. It was nice to see a glimpse of the renovations happening and I’m sure once they’re done they will be lovely!"
