"My wife and I recently took a trip to Charleston to celebrate our 24th anniversary, and while looking for a place to stay, I stumbled upon The Inn at Middleton Place. I’m so glad I did!
This place was fantastic. The setting is truly dreamy and feels like something out of a movie. The mid-century modern architecture sits right along the river, surrounded by trees draped in Spanish moss, and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful.
The staff were wonderful and helpful with every request we had. There’s also a beautiful, lighted path that leads you on a short walk to Middleton Place, where we spent our first day exploring the grounds. We were given a tour, which was one of the highlights of our stay. Our guide was hilarious, incredibly informative, and shared so much fascinating history about the property.
Later that day, we had dinner at the Middleton Place Restaurant, and the food was excellent. On our walk to dinner, we even nearly walked right up on an alligator—which was definitely an exciting part of the experience!
Afterward, enjoying cocktails at the lodge was the perfect way to wind down the evening.
Between the beautiful setting, incredible history, wonderful staff, and peaceful atmosphere, The Inn at Middleton Place made our anniversary trip to Charleston even more special. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable place to stay!"
