"We stayed at 3 locations during our 2 week trip and Sanctuary Rarotongan was by far the best😊 The room, location, staff and daily activities were amazing.
We are planning a return trip to Rarotonga next year and will be booking here again no questions asked. All staff were beautiful but a special shout out to Sake at the bar. Ron at reception and Va in the restaurant they made our stay memorable"
"If your idea of a great holiday is being at the bar all day and listening to beats at the beach this place would be good for you, but if you are looking for relaxing or an adults only environment go somewhere else. This is best described as a well attended family bar with some accommodation attached. Expect music to play from late morning to 9 pm which can be heard through the rooms even with the doors closed. Its particularly loud when they have a band (several nights a week) - don't expect to be able to watch TV or read a book in your room on those nights loud. A lot of people and families come in for the bar all day everyday which is in the middle of everything. This is a good location to do activities on the west coast and is on the bus route. Snorkeling off the beach is reasonable. There are several food options a short walk away and a grocery store about 10 min walk south on the main road. The food on site is very nice but not always filling, you will need to order early (e.g by 5:30pm as there are often large crowds and long lines to order food at the bar). The rooms have full kitchen through."
"Exceptional friendly staff.
Menu became a little too much the same
Maybe a salad buffet option or sandwich's for lunch
Rooms were good but bathrooms need an update
Will definitely be going back"
"We stayed for a week at the Lagoon Breeze Villas, it was very comfortable and the staff were lovely. It’s not on the beach but it’s only across the road. It has a lovely pool.
It’s a great place to stay for families."
"The place was really great, comfortable, clean and well looked after. it was a pleasure to stay there. Paul is very friendly and gave many tips on where to eat/snorkel etc. Would definitely recommend this place to others"
"Excellent location, property and bungalow on the beach. Restaurant food and quality excellent. One would expect premium bedding at this price point could use some improvement. Bed comfortable but not luxurious, sheets could use more
Thread count. Overall amazing property. Low key, quiet and uncrowded

"I spent three nights at Sea Change in a self‑contained villa in the Cook Islands and really enjoyed it. The beachfront location was fantastic, and the villa had all the amenities I needed. There were a couple of small maintenance items that could be improved, but nothing major. Overall, a great place to stay and one I’d recommend."
"Possibly the best beach in Rarotonga. Friendly staff. Nice pool area and a great location near shops and restaurants.
We booked a beach front bungalow. The beach front bungalows are split in 2 sets: 3 or 4 in the immediate beach front, and another 3 set further back with a view not as great as the full beach front, unfortunately we were assigned one of the furthest ones.
Should you book a beach front bungalow you may want to inquire if a full beach front is available.
Maybe those could be named beachfront and sea view to avoid disappointment.
Overall a lovely place to stay and we would happily stay there again."
"Thanks to Craig and Jane.
This bungalow was close to the best snorkel spot on the coast. We even saw turtles and an octopus. What we saved on accommodation we spent on adventures. It was nice to be able to cook at home too."
