"I booked my stay using Expedia days before my check-in. You’ll be lucky if someone would pick up the phone at the hotel. I had to wait for minutes before someone came for help to check-in. When I questioned of the shortcomings, she became confrontational and said she had to fix a TV in a room. Customer service is shocking. One person does everything to save costs."

"Well, this place is currently undergoing renovations, I was not aware when I booked it. No internet & no TV. Seemed clean enough until I found some hair (not mine in the shower & bathroom sink). The people I was travelling with had issues checking in. Bed was really comfortable, did not use the pool/hot tub but it looked OK. Not sure about the condiments."

"First of all, I would like to say that I love the Delta King. You can feel the history when you walk along the halls and it was very nostalgic. I expected it to be a little funky because the boat is nearly 100 years old and I was right. The rooms are a little small and you have to pull a chain to flush the toilet, which I thought was cute. I stayed on the river side which was perfect! I woke up to seals every morning. The front desk staff were excellent, especially Albert! The reason for giving it two stars is because I have been trying to get a hold of the manager, Apple Mota through email, and leaving multiple messages for a return call. As I was checking out, I told the front desk that I needed to speak with a manager and that it was very important and they said she would not be in until Friday and this was on Wednesday. I ended up writing a letter to Ms. Mota describing the incident that happened in my room. I was traveling alone without my husband and was put in a very uncomfortable and frightening position by one of the employees. To me, the Delta King is like royalty among boats. No one should ever feel that way when they’re staying on a property and especially the Delta King. I’m embarrassed for them and their manager should be in the unemployment line. If I was in the position over her head, I’d certainly fire her on the spot!"

"We didn’t explore the hotel very much and didn’t use any of the amenities so I can’t speak to that…but what I can speak to is the super comfortable bed, clean room/bathroom, super helpful staff (I asked for some silverware and it arrived at our door within 3 mins), and amazing location. The valet was prompt and so easy to use, one of the easier valet systems we’ve used. Super sweet staff. The entry way of the hotel is so gorgeous. So soothing and the aesthetic was 100! Safe location in sac. We spent one day just walking around and sampling drinks and food at restaurants we found, so fun, amazing local food and everyone we met was just so sweet. Would absolutely stay again, in fact we are thinking about doing a trip to take our teens with us so we can do the food tour we did with them. If we do, we will stay here again. Highly recommend!"
