"I have to say I waa really surprised at how nice this place was. The only issue for me (being a bigger bloke) was i couldn't fit in the shower as it only has a s.mall opening but I was able to get around ."

"The carpet had stains, the shower screen had mould and dust on lampshade and creased net curtains. All very minor but if fixed it would be a definite fix star. The amenities and facilities themselves are fantastic. "

"The staff were very helpful & informative. The breakfast buffet could have more items however it was still decent. For breakfast, we were offered vegetarian sausages seperately as the buffet did not have any vegetarian sausages. That was very thoughtful of the staff. The room had everything we required, a hairdryer, a fridge (requested earlier), a fan & were able to adjust the heating in the room. The spa facilities were nice & clean."

"It's obvious the Hotel was undergoing renovations. When we arrived, it wasn't too obvious where the reception was, which was just a desk in the bar area. Our room was on the 1st floor, when coming out of the lift on that floor a room map would have been really useful. We (and another couple who arrived around the same time) were wondering around like lost souls trying to find our allotted room. The room itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. "The staff were fantastic, polite, friendly and helpful, which the made it a brilliant stay. Dinner was good and very family friendly with food options for the kids. Breakfast was the only let-down, scrambled eggs were cold and tasted awful, not much choice of fruit. "

"Most impressed by: The Staff, they were lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Entertainment, Colin Mills was outstanding. The bedroom was bright, airy, clean and nicely laundered. Not so good: Lift didn't go to top floor where we stayed so we had lots to carry, which was quite difficult for our party. Bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. "

"The property was adequate for an unexpected visit. Room was clean, bathroom functional, drinks facilities and fridge were welcome as were the towels. However, the room door was tricky to close securely and the pool/gym area was under repair which limited access. When staff were encountered they were friendly and helpful but there wasn't an abundance of available staff. Overall, an easy to use hotel - fair value for the price."

"Great stay and meal"

"The hotel was good and clean with the rooms being of a good standard. One or two things could be better. The evacuation details on the back of the door was quite high up and small. This made it very difficult to read as I am only 5ft 6in tall. This became important as around 8.30pm there was a fire alarm. "Fantastic stay. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were amazing. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. What a beautiful property to explore and enjoy. "
