"The check in was chaotic, I.e. no room number or lockbox instruction until after check in time, then no key in the lockbox and no telephone number to call to discover what to do next. "

"Friendly staff, on-site parking. Beds were comfortable and room was clean.
Narrow staircase, no lift do big or heavy suitcases could be a challenge.

"The hotel was old and uncomfortable. Didn’t find my booking and had to wait around for over 30 minutes for it to be confirmed despite showing evidence the room was booked.
Won’t stay again. "

"Pub is old, so it has a care worn look as you would expect. Room itself was really clean, shower was hot, facilities good and all in working order. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good value. No complaints."

"We adored our stay and wish we had more time to spend here. What a wonderful country setting in a traditional B &B. Beautiful chapel views from our room which also overlooked a sweet field with sheep. We were welcomed at the door and bid goodbye personally. The cooked to order breakfast was wonderful and thoughtfully prepared and laid out. We would love to return if we are lucky enough to do so. True gem!!! Suzie and Wes from Oregon."

"This hotel is situated in the midst of a college campus. Access requires navigating through a Security gate and though parking is adequate the hotel location is less than ideal. The hotel itself is a large complex which requires walking a fair distance to access hotel facilities. The rooms do not have air conditioning which can be an issue during hot weather. I believe the staff to be very helpful and considerate. The room itself was clean with good decor. We found the bar to be well supplied but on the expensive side compared to other local establishments.
Overall, our stay was pleasant and is probably ideal for college professors, parents and visitors to the college campus, for others, not so much."
"Lovely clean hotel conveniently located for the NEC and train station. Large firm bed. Comfy pillows. Air conditioning was great. Ironing board in room. Generally peaceful stay- only downside was some doors weren't soft closing."
"Pretty functional airport hotel. I’d say Hilton but stripped back. I didn’t have any mineral water left in my room which I would think was pretty standard for this level of hotel. It felt pretty basic. Bed was hard but I don’t really mind that. Staff were very professional. Bar staff engaging and welcoming but overall the hotel felt pretty soulless. Functional for a one night stay before an early flight but lacking in comforts, like slippers, a bath robe and the little extras that make you smile. Very clean though their choice of corridor carpets look like they’re dirty when they’re not."
"The Genting was always a favourite stopover when traveling through England as it breaks up the trip from London to Yorkshire. The hotel is still quite nice compared to others in the area but doesn’t seem to have been maintained to the high standards it once was.
The spa experience was still great, however the outdoor spa was not working and I had to share the pool experience with the cleaning crew at 7am.
The building that it shares has some challenges with managing the smell from the bins and as such the hotel had to pump quite a bit of perfume into the air of the lobby to mask the smell."
"Excellent attentive staff in the bar/restaurant made sure everyone was served during a busy time at a convention. Room was comfortable and clean of outdated. Plenty of plugs, no USBs. Great location for NEC and Resorts World."
