"Overall, the property served its purpose. We just needed a place to stay for one night. We were traveling with our dog and the hotel does allow pets. The pet fee was $75 per night, which was quite steep. Not only do they charge that fee but they indicate the fee is “a cleaning fee“, while their pet policy that must be signed, indicates the hotel at its soul discretion may impose an additional fee. I found that to be ridiculous. There is absolutely no parking unless you’re willing to pay $52 per night for valet. I was not willing to leave my vehicle parked on the street in downtown Portland as there were many unsavory characters strolling around. The staff were kind and the free breakfast was decent. The hotel is laid out very oddly. It almost felt like you were roaming the halls of a hospital with no idea where to go. Also, because it’s downtown Portland a guest needs to use a card key to access any guest floors via the elevator. This hotel accommodates many guests so therefore the elevator was in high demand and the key card didn’t always work so you may find yourself making multiple attempts to access your floor. "
