"Glorious old Hotel Canberra that has been remade into a Park Hyatt with hollow walls and ocean liner feel (long and narrow with rooms on the sides). An iconic political hotel that now calls its Scottish fillet by its American name, ribeye. Owned by America and reflective of contemporary Australia as a willing proxy. "Excellent hotel with great facilities in a perfect location for exploring Canberra. Large rooms with everything you need, including free in room movies which was a nice little add on. The school holiday extras were amazing and the staff all went out of their way to make sure my two girls (5&7) had a brilliant stay - they haven't stopped talking about it. "We got a One bed apartment with Balcony and Lake views on the 11th floor, Perfect ! Check in was so easy and helpful . A walk or Uber to anywhere in the city is cheap and easy and downstairs bar was cost warm ( fire) with a lovely cocktail menu. I highly recommend staying here and we will be back."
