Canyon Lodge & Cabins - Inside the Park

10/10 Excellent

"Loved the lodge we stayed in. It was a newer lodge, Rhyolite I think. It was walkable to the village. Yes, there is no tv or air conditioning but it was great playing cards and reading a book to pass some evening time. We were there in late May so still cooler nights in the lower 40's so not having air conditioning wasn't an issue. They gave windows that crank open to let the night air in which we did do one night. They also provide a table top fan to move the air around. Good in the village was ok. Cafeteria style with large portions. Hubby and I split most am& pm meals for budget purposes and just because it was more than enough for 2 people."

"Rented a lodge, within walk distance of hotel for dinner. Dinner was very elegant. Even with a casual dress code. It doesn’t hurt to dress to impress a little(khakis & button up shirt). Had 3 course meal & shared a bottle of wine with siblings I dined with. Water seems to been the only standard drink available, quite healthy. Plates were well partitioned. You will leave satisfied but not stuffed. All-n-all dinner took about 1.5 hours. Consider that when reserving a table"

Grant Village - Inside the Park

"We had a great time in Grant Village. The rooms were clean and well maintained for a lodge in the national park! There were a few things we realized when we got to Grant village. Since we booked our stay right at the start of the season, the lodge was not fully up to speed and they made us wait for a couple of hours to get our rooms even though we reached there at 7pm. The staff were considerate and gave us a 20% discount. The seat your self restaurant was not open for the season and unfortunately it was not communicated on the website. We had to get a reservation at the Grant Village Dining room but again the staff was considerate and gave us one at 10pm even though they were closing. All in all there were a few hiccups but the staff made the stay comfortable."

Yellowstone Westgate Hotel

"We visited at the end of May. The location was easy to find; parking was easily accessible. The hotel was well lit, and there was plenty of seating in the entry- just in case things got busy, or you wanted to sit and enjoy the view. Upon checking in and asking for the best locations for family meals, the staff was well informed. (The location suggested satisfied us all). When we needed an extra blanket for the room, someone brought it quickly to the room for us. The pool and hot tub were both well maintained. There were plenty of towels available; there were already other guests using both. There was a laundry available; bring quarters, but if you don't, they can make change at the front desk. Breakfast was solid. There was plenty of food options and quantities available, and staff was ensuring the options stayed full."
