Ultra luxurious. Breakfast at the italian restaurant was the most elegant I've ever had in a hotel. Room is very large by Japanese standards - even by western standards it is a good size. Huge walk in closet and ultra modern bathroom. Wow.

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was outstanding and well appointed, the resort is in a very walkable location. We felt like celebrities our entire stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The Kahala in Yokohama was absolutely outstanding in every way! WOW, WOW, WOW. Rooms were immaculate. Restaurants were 5 Star. The hotel personnel could not have been more friendly and accommodating—truly amazing experience. The staff arranged all our travel from the hotel whether it was a ten minute quick trip or a ninety trip to the Narita Airport. We picked this hotel originally because of its convenient proximity to our Celebrity cruise port. If you are cruising with Celebrity out of Yokohama, you don’t even want to consider any other resort/hotel. The value for the price is unmatched. My wife and I have traveled all over the world and the Kahala has risen to the top of the list. This may sound like a fake review, but it is definitely not. Our stay was that good.

For those regular travellers to Japan. This is another 5-stars hotel for the locals! The hotel facilities are 5-stars. Bellboys and housekeeping are exceptional but the checkin and checkout processes felt robotics, unwelcome, fake. The fact that both ladies at checkin and checkout satdown behind the table at all times and did not get up said so much about the whole experience. Aloha!

We have stayed at many luxury properties, and this is easily one of the best. They have literally thought of everything, it’s hard to describe. As a tiny example, the amenities for taking a bath are two types of bath oils and bubble bath. I know someone would prepare it for you, if you asked. Nothing has been overlooked. The rooms are extremely large and well-designed. We had a beautiful view overlooking the bay and Ferris wheel. The only downside is that it’s a bit of a walk to the train and to the multiple restaurants and shopping malls in Yokohama. But that short walk is definitely worth the trip to this wonderful hotel.

As someone who holds the original Kahala in Honolulu in the highest regard, my expectations for its Yokohama counterpart were, to put it mildly, astronomical. I am thrilled to report that The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama not only met but soared beyond them, creating an experience that is both a worthy successor to the Hawaiian legend and a uniquely Japanese masterpiece. The hotel itself is an architectural triumph, offering breathtaking views over the Minato Mirai waterfront. The service is, of course, flawless—a seamless blend of Hawaiian warmth and Japanese omotenashi, where every need is anticipated with quiet discretion and a genuine smile. But let us speak of the mornings, for this is where The Kahala truly cements its legendary status. The breakfast buffet is not merely a meal; it is a sprawling, immaculately curated culinary event. The selection is vast yet refined, avoiding the chaotic excess of lesser establishments. Each station, from the glistening towers of tropical fruits and freshly squeezed juices to the artisan viennoiserie that would be at home on any Parisian high street, showcases ingredients of the highest possible quality. The Japanese section, in particular, is a delight of delicate, flavorful treasures. However, the true masterstroke is the in-room dining breakfast menu.
