If your ideal holiday involves playing a round of golf, a play-and-stay golf holiday may be in your future. Golf resorts and hotels feature either an on-site golf course or partnership with a nearby golf course. If they don't have an on-site golf course, they may offer a shuttle service to nearby golf courses.
Higher-end golf resorts may include clubs, caddies, carts and more in their package price. Golf holiday packages may also include green fees and country club passes. Others may offer these same perks and services for a small fee.
Many golf resorts have other amenities such as games rooms, pools, playgrounds and restaurants for the non-golfers in your party.

The food was fantastic. I have stayed there on many ocassions with my family and it is great value for money and it's an easy bus ride (30 mins) into the heart of Edinburgh. Clean and comfortable stay. My family enjoyed our rooms. The workers were friendly. The resort was more for younger aged children (the pool went only to 3 feet and the slide was not built for older kids) but overall, it made for a nice vacation for our family of 5.
