"We stayed 5 nights at this Hotel and it was ok. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. However, we would not consider this a 4-star hotel (but rather a 3-star), nor a resort (no gym, only one small restaurant, no lounge area etc.). "Quite far to get to from Stonetown but a stunning location. It’s boutique hotel so not the facilities of a mega resort but the local friendly staff arranged a couple of excellent things for me and I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere. Great food too with sea views. I also enjoyed a massaged in a small hut by the sea so could hear the surf. "

"when we were checking in ismail told us that there was something wrong with the air conditioning in our room. he therefore took us to another hotel, which was a bit more expensive and said that we could stay there for the same price if we wanted. we thought that air conditioning is good to have in Zanzibar, so we accepted the offer. therefore unfortunately I can't say much about nungwi beach front hotel. but I was in contact with ismael during the whole stay and he arranged several trips for us....

"Bodde 4 dager i Deluxerom. Litt hard seng, men romslig nye rom, stort bad med dusj. Svømmebassenget rett utfor døren var flott og rent. Frukost var den beste på vår ferietur i 3 veker på Zanzibar. Ikke middag på hotellet, men beachrestauranten ved stranda, server Antares også. Kort spasertur på 3 minutter til stranda, der solstoler/parasoller var reservert for oss hele dagen. "

"We had a very nice stay at Ellavita Cottages. The room was cozy and Tina and Khalifa are very nice hosts. They are always there when you have a problem and can help you with everything. They also know the place well so any question concerning activites can be answered. The breakfast is also delicious. Would definitely recommend and come back if we would go to Nungwi again. "
