"Met or exceeded every expectation. Not sure if I got some kind of super-secret deal, but this hotel delivered FAR more than I expected for the very reasonable price I paid.
I travel to the Detroit area on business multiple times a year. I don't know how I never had this place come up on my list before. It will definitely be a "go-to" for me in the future.
BIG place. Really much larger than most Best Westerns. A few miles out -- but close enough to downtown to be reasonable for daily...

"I had a wonderful stay at Spark By Hilton! The staff was friendly and attentive. I received text messages throughout my stay from staff to check on how my stay was going. "The owner is really helpful and considerate. You can tell they are updating as they're newer owners but everything was clean and worked in the room. Unfortunately the pool wasn't working but that wasn't what we came to do anyway. Would definitely come back."

"Rooms were very run down and many items broken or in poor condition like couches, lights and mini refrigerators. Also the beds very springy. Breakfast was good some days but sparse. The room cleaning would only occur if you requested 24 hours in advance but this was not shared during check in. If you stay near the pool the whole area has very strong chlorine smell. And there is a lot of carpet throughout the faciliy and rooms that is dated."
