"Absolutely loved the atmosphere! Old school turned into a hotel, wood-fired sauna in its own building, food and herbs from their own garden. Bathtub was good-sized, bed was surprisingly comfortable and I personally loved that I could open the windows in my suite. Little bit of creaking here and there, but it didn't bother me. "Beautiful place set by lake outside the town of Puumala. It was a very peaceful and serene setting, a great place to go to get away from busy cities. I would say that the staff were friendly rather than warm and helpful."
