"Great place to stay in Matera. One block from the piazza and everything in the piazza including the Sassi. The rooms are not luxurious but are comfortable and very clean. Wi-Fi is very reliable and decently fast. Worked fine for everyday use and for streaming. The breakfast was very good. Nothing excessive and nothing hot. But lots of great choices from cereals, fruit, pastries, pies, cheese, bread, and meats."

Everything felt old and poorly maintained. On top of that, the parking area was not secure, which was a major concern with our rental car. Cleanliness, comfort, and security should be the bare minimum for any hotel, and this place failed on all fronts. Extremely...
