"Très bon séjour, au calme par contre si l espace événementiel avait été occupé ??? Nous avons séjourné dans le pavillon bas rien ne manque sauf une poignée côté intérieur pour fermer la salle de bain d une des chambres, la douche fuit ce qui provoque des odeurs de moisies, la déco est raffinée, la literie très confortable, Le parc est très bien entretenu. "The chateau has a beautiful setting and great potential. Our spacious room was charming with at least 14 foot ceilings and a large remodeled bathroom. But, there were some definite downsides: since there is no AC, we opened the windows which required moving a table (not a big deal) and the fan in our room was much appreciated; the beautiful 14 ft draperies were impossible to open and close (no rod or cords, so we had to try to jerk them closed--see picture--it was a good thing we wanted to get up early); there was mold visible all along the window frames; the tub was hard to get in and out of and had no partition or curtain (try as we might, we couldn't use the handheld shower to wash our hair without getting the floor wet); finally despite leaving two written requests to the staff to fill empty soap and lotion dispensers, these were ignored."

"We chose this as a base for Dday activities (over Bayeux). No regrets. The room was spacious with a view of the sea. The staff was lovely and we could walk into Arromanches in about 5 minutes, which had shops, restaurants, and a museum which provided great information on naval landings (Overlord and Dragoon) which we didn’t get anywhere else (all outside the museum)."

"The breakfast was disappointing for the price point charged. The room and bathroom were nice sized; the bed was uncomfortable. The pillows were not good quality as well. There was great air conditioning but the blanket provided retained your body heat; we were very comfy when we went to bed but very hot starting about three hours after going to sleep."

"Spacious but basic accommodation. The kitchen/ living area is good and there is a pleasant outside seating area. However, the bathroom is disappointing and the only toilet was downstairs ( a steep staircase) The main drawback is the fact that you have to make up and strip your own beds. Not what I expect from a 4* accommodation. Having said that, the pool is great. Be aware that reception closes at 7pm so later check ins need to be mindful. While we were there TV reception was limited even for the basic French TV channels. There are no English TV channels."
