"First of all the location is excellent… right in the middle of the rainforest, although the drive up there is not for the faint hearted. My room was very basic, which was expected. The thing I didn’t like was that the door to the deck didn’t seal at all, so when the wind blew at night it rattled the blinds and kept me awake. "The resort definitely needs some TLC, since it's been up for sale needed updates and repairs are just not happening. Having said that the place is comfortable and clean and the staff are fantastic. We were a bit disappointed that the restaurant is now only open on Friday and Saturday nights but understandable considering how quiet the place is through the week. "Wonderful experience for my weekend escape. The team was incredibly friendly, and the service and food were outstanding. Waking up to a stunning sunrise was the perfect way to start the day, and seeing the adorable kangaroos around made the experience even more special. "Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat is a hidden sanctuary. We hit the jackpot when we were searching for accommodation in the area to attend a wedding. "An absolutely delightful property beautifully done out with wonderful amenities. Had everything you could possibly want like a coffee maker, ice machine and a huge cool room which was fantastic for all our food and drink as was 10 people staying. The decor was lovely and the views over to the gold coast were breathtaking especially at night. Will def come back Thank you Simon for a wonderful stay. Trudi"
