We stayed at this hotel for the duration of our week in Madeira & cannot really find a fault in anything. We stayed on a 'bed & breakfast' basis which suited us well as we didn't know what we'd be doing each day as there is such a vast amount to do in Madeira. The breakfast buffet was excellent - plenty of different food to select from & relentlessly being topped up by the hard working staff. We stayed in a beautiful sea view room which was spacious & exceptionally clean with brilliant...

A wonderful stay... the staff are all so friendly... the food wonderful & varied... the rooms spotless... a bookable courtesy bus into Funchal several times a day a real bonus... we will certainly be returning!

My wife and I needed last minute accommodation following a flight cancellation. We booked a night here and were treated so kindly from the moment I called to confirm our room type to checkout. We both wished we had spent more time in this beautiful room during our honeymoon and will look to stay here upon our return to Madeira.

Our stay in March was spent at this excellent hotel, staff were friendly and courteous ,food was of a very high standard and as we used the buffet rather than A La Carte there was always more than enough choice and quantity. We booked a 'side sea view studio' but were given a central studio with direct views over the pool and gardens of the sea, it comprised 3 rooms, a large comfortable lounge large bedroom and sizeable bathroom with a kitchen diner in the lounge area. The gardens require...

We stayed for 5 nights and had the most relaxing and lovely time. Nice promenade in front and 5 mins drive from airport. Make sure you book free transfer to Funchal at the reception. We loved the hot stone massage. Food was awsome including the daily evetns at the bar e.g. parrot show, live music etc. Pick up a local bus timetable at the reception. 2 mins walk to the local bus stop going to Funchal,Airport and Machico beach. Local buses operates untill midnight (weekend 10:50). Make sure you go...

The Three House Hotel is a glow up to a Madeira experience. As a destination the importance of the cruise community, the frequent visitors and the role Funchal has played in retirement plans, it has not been a forefront plan for me or most of my pal.. The hotel, the offer and the location to the action changed everything on whats is on offer in this wonderful place. This design forward spot is home to a set of wonderful aparthotel suites that allow a resident neighbourhood feel to the...

Excellent property right in the centre of Funchal. We stayed in the top floor apartment V, which had a lovely balcony that has a side view towards the see and sunshine from midday. The kitchen is full of all utensils and cleaning products. Tupperware came in handy to take on hikes with you. There are a couple of points to note. There is no lift so you need to make sure you can climb plenty of steps. The mattress is quite firm and the building carries the noise so you can hear a lot of things...

Don't go uptown to the tourist area where all the hotels are - concrete jungle! Old town is best for eateries and bars - especially the rum bar - hard to find but a wee gem. It is on the second section of the old street and has a balcony which overlooks the street - the guy there is fantastic looks like you are in his front room but it's an amazing place to sample rum - he has a massive choice. Do the Nun's valley - 1/2 day excursion as lets you see the remote side- mountains and...

The hotel is situated on a main road (no noise problems though) which gives great links to the main buses in to Funchal, including a courtesy bus from the hotel, and the open top tour buses. The hotel says 4 star but how it isn't a 5 star I will never know! The hotel is home to beautiful gardens, including an orchid garden, making the scenery even more beautiful. Butterflies are always flying around and it just feels like paradise. The hotel is clean and maintained thoroughly everyday, they...

We had a fantastic time here. The room was big and comfortable and the resort was beautifully maintained, with lovely gardens. A great place to relax and unwind. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety, catering for a wide range of dietary requirements. The various restaurants offered decent food and a good option if not wanting to venture out in the evening. The staff were all fantastic throughout. I would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay there again.

Stunning views, gorgeous sauna, and lovely outdoor pool. Would recommend a car for exploring!

Good location, suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Hotel facilities very good and everywhere was spotlessly clean.

Staff are really polite and friendly and also very helpful. The roof terrace has a beautiful view at night.. very well situated. As free breakfast go, the breakfast is 5* in my opinion. Really enjoyed our stay on this beautiful island.

Amazing Hotel with Fantastic Staff in an Amazing Location. 10/10

This was our first time in Funchal, but our choice of hotel was excellent. The suite was of a good size and well supported with equipment for our needs. The balcony was great, and we had a lovely view of the sea. It was a little noisier than we were expecting, but part of that was due to a nearby hotel being renovated. I expect that rooms facing the interior of the hotel would be quieter. The ensuite was very practical and the rooms were cleaned each day to a very high standard. Towels were also...
