"Breakfast the first day was better - excellent bacon. Staff were really friendly. Evening meal was reasonable but problem with the card machine suggested my card was declined when my online bank showed the payment went through when I added my pin. I was able to show this and the staff were apologetic. However an hour later I had a phone call asking me to return to pay and I had to repeat the story. I was not required to show evidence, which I could and the staff were helpful."

"Booked last minute for a meeting in Sheffield. Low price and lovely little room. I wasn't aware it was next to university halls though so be aware on weekends I imagine it gets rowdy as the bar in the hotel is open 24 hours (I was told on check in). Also note the car park is small, I arrived at 9pm and struggled to park having to do 2 loops, they'll give you a permit at reception to pop in your windscreen. "Room clean, modern, not as in the photos but it was ok. Very close the the centre great location. My only grump was the bin men at 5am both mornings on the cobble street below and the lack of sleep as bed was very comfortable but a double is too small but thats our preference."
