"We stayed at the West Island wing of the property. While the rooms and setting are beautiful, be aware that the restaurants attached to the West Island rooms do not have a liquor license. If you want a beer, wine, or cocktail with dinner, you have to take the shuttle boat across the backwaters to the main property on the East side. It is a noticeable inconvenience for a 5-star resort, but otherwise a pleasant stay. Would easily rate this 5 stars if not for that daily inconvenience."

"The location and views are undoubtedly the hotel’s strongest points — the scenery is magnificent and the setting is beautiful. Unfortunately, the hotel itself did not live up to what we expected for the price.
We paid around £280 per night for 3 nights, which was over ₹100,000, and for that price the rooms and general finish felt very dated and poorly maintained. The furniture was old, the flooring was damaged in places, and some of the switches and fittings were visibly coming...
