"Clean room"

"We stayed here just one night on route up from Nashville toward a road-trip around Lake Michigan. It was cost-effective and a good location but it was a very pleasant surprise. We didn't get a chance to use the casino but the room was exceptional - it felt brand new, all the amenities were great and the bed wonderfully comfortable - would thoroughly recommend if you aren't looking to stay in the centre and need somewhere south of the city"

"This was a good option for our overnight stay to catch an early flight in Chicago the next morning. Both individuals working the front desk were very helpful and pleasant. Parking was free and it was not too far from Midway. The only downside was the hallway carpet looked like it could use a deep clean."

"Probably one of the worse hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The front desk closes which I never heard of at a hotel. The night staff are rude. Tells you to call a number on wall if you need assistance when you call they let you know they’re closed ain’t can’t help you until 8am. 8am came & went & front desk was still not open. "The good: very reasonable price, we felt safe enough, it was convenient to Midway Airport (15 minutes by car, straight up Cicero), and there are lots of food options nearby. The bad: the room was full of dark hairs, long and short, all over (our family is all blond, no chance it was us). The chairs had long strips of fabric hanging from them. "I rarely leave negative reviews, but this hotel was so disgusting that I feel obligated to warn other travelers. From the moment we walked through the front doors, I was horrified. The carpet in the lobby and hallways was absolutely filthy. I have never seen hotel carpet in such poor condition. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and made an awful first impression. "It just was not clean at all … the staff was really nice and sweet but the hotel itself was not in good shape. Shower water barely got hot and the knob was falling off ."

"The room was clean. The gentleman at the front desk who checked me in was absolutely wonderful. Ordered dinner in from a local restaurant that makes incredible jerk chicken. I happened upon this during my travel across the country. What a great place to stay. Thank you so much for all the hospitality!"

"No smoke detector in my room, no deadbolt or chain for security, refrigerator was leaking something sticky, NO MATTRESS PROTECTOR ON THE BED I slept on top of all the sheets and the blanket, it was just a sheet so thin on the mattress you could see the mattress through it so you’d be sleeping on everyone else’s sweat and bodily fluids. Thin walls, room looked NOTHING like the pictures on the website."

"Wow! What a great experience this was. I love how when I walked in the hotel I immediately saw smiling faces and a poster of President Obama in the corner. It was right on brand for my stay as I was visiting the Obama Presidential Center for the Grand Opening weekend. The breakfast was delicious and I love that we had a space to park at the hotel. This hotel was convenient for my commute in Hyde Park. I will be back. Thank you, staff for your service and kind hospitality!"
