"Very friendly staff. We had a 4-flight walk-up but was very safe and easy to access. Our corner room was spacious and comfortable. The premises and room were very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very large. We enjoyed our stay here and recommend the Aberlour."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Mansion House. It is within walking distance of all the sites in Elgin plus has very accessible parking. The surrounding walks and neighboring river made me feel like a character in a Jane Austin novel. Iona, Billy and all the staff made us feel like family. We even learned how to play snooker. Breakfast couldn’t have been better or more convenient. Will definitely try to return every time we go to Scotland!!!"

"Very dated rooms. Not enough plugs. No elevator. Sinks used plugs that stuck and were nearly impossible to dislodge. Pool closed early and don’t have good hours to for use. Restaurant was pricey. Food just okay. Would not stay here again."

"Everything was exceptional. The hospitality from Graham and Sheena was second to none. We got lost our first night out and after a quick call, Graham got us back on track and was actually on his way out to find us when we turned up the drive! That is the level of hospitality provided. "The room was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was delicious! For some reason, many of the places we stayed (including this one) did not provide conditioner. Not a huge deal, but thought I’d note for future guests. It is a cute small town and convenient to hiking destinations. Also note there is not central air and the windows do not open more than a few inches, so on hot days, the room gets very stuffy. Not the fault of the hotel, though!"
