"The bed and breakfast is just that! No one after a certain hour, and the free breakfast is for one hour, 08:30/09:30. Grounds are beautiful, and the interior is interesting. The home was built by a rich person in the late 1800-time frame. But, it's like a morgue once breakfast is over. The town it's in is very quiet also. Everything closes at 20:30 or 21:30. "We booked the White Birches suite. The quality and experience I expected based on the reviews when I booked in March were not met during my stay. Our bathroom was not well-cleaned prior to checking in. There was a large black "smudge" on the wall that looked suspiciously like black mold. The toilet paper roll on the wall dispenser was empty; the new roll was rested on top of the empty roll on the dispenser. The air intake fan in the bathroom, despite working very hard, could not accomplish a lot...

"The innkeepers were friendly and helpful, offering suggestions about things to see in the area. The homemade morning breakfasts were delicious. The inn is "off the beaten track" a bit, which makes it quiet and secluded, but it's not really walking distance to the restaurants and shops in Brandon. Great place for a quiet getaway."
