A quiet -perfectly located for tourism -traditional small hotel in an C18 ‘mansion’. Friendly informal service. We stayed in the annexe of ‘superior’ rooms with ( very basic) kitchenettes. The rooms are spacious but in need of some renewal (e.g. the shower/bath). Simple continental breakfast €11.

I stayed here for six nights while visiting my daughter in Aix. You absolutely cannot beat location!! I loved being able to have one of the windows in my bathroom open every night and there was absolutely no noise (even though in middle of town) to wake you up during the night. Everyone was so nice & everything was so clean.

The place is really special with an old World feel about it enhanced by a large room with bathroom and kitchen annexed, and being right next to an art museum and the St John of Malta Church dating back to the 13th century. Staff were friendly. The downside was cleanliness. The electric jug had a film on it, pots were unclean and a cup had lipstick on it. Just a little bit of effort scrubbing the bath and dishes would help. Also while there is dish cleaner and scrubbing brush there is no tea towel to dry the dishes.

This a charming old world hotel, a very enjoyable experience, set in what has to be one of the worlds most unusually charming places. If you visit, you will want come back as we have done for 20 years.

A perfect place to stay in Aix-en-Provence
My daughter and I both loved Hotel Cardinal. The staff are extremely kind and helpful and I loved the family feeling of the hotel. The breakfasts were wonderful. We liked our room. The hotel is ideally situated to walk all over Aix-en-Provence -- it couldn't be more centrally located, yet one still had the feeling of peace and calm in this traditional hotel. You can hear the church bells and walk up to Rue D'Italie for restaurants, patisseries, fromageries, etc. What made everything extra special were the beautiful Christmas decorations everywhere, especially in the hotel. I'm ready to return right now.

Hôtel absolument adorable ! Quel bonheur de trouver encore un hôtel qui rappelle le passé. Avec de vrais meubles en bois, cheminée, belles moulures au plafond! Pourvu que cela reste ainsi !!

We had a beautiful main floor room that opened into our own private courtyard with fountains. A very nice surprise. We had a 3 person family room. Large bathroom with nice fixtures. No shower but the deep tub had a nice handheld. The only downside was there's no parking nearby and very narrow one way streets. But that would apply to all the similar hotels in the area

The room was gorgeous and very historic. Website said the property has an elevator, which isn’t true for some parts. The lady at the front desk was nice enough to help haul my luggage up the 3 flights of stairs. It was a bit precarious bringing it all down to check out. The breakfast was absolutely lovely.

Conhecendo Aix-en-Provence e redondezas!
O pessoal é simpático e atencioso, o quarto que ficamos(3) o ar condicionado nao estava funcionando. O chuveiro é muito incômodo, pois é só uma ducha, que temos que ficar segurando, enquanto tomamos banho. Acredito que seria fácil uma adaptação para chuveiro fixo na parede. A localização não é muito central. Café da manhã é servido em bandejas individuais mas é suficiente.

Fantastic! The location is perfect...walking distance to everything. The service is spectacular, which is perfect for an early start to the day. Otherwise, I recommend breakfast at any of the cafés just minutes from the hotel to experience the town.

un petit hotel , chaleureux , tres bien placé dans le centre historique d' Aix pres des musees et du cours mirabeau .. . un accueil souriant , un decor retro .. une chambre petite mais hyper confortable , une salle de bain tres agreable ! cela fait plaisir de se retrouver loin des grandes chaines hotelieres ..

小さな古いホテルの割にとても清潔でたくさん絵が飾られた素敵なホテルでした。ただ、ホテルの床が凸凹だったりはしました。この街は小さな街なので、少し中心街から離れたこのホテルでも十分に楽しめます。
