"For us 33 Lake Terrace was the nicest hotel we stayed at during our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautifully designed, the location at the lake is so peaceful and beautiful - simply amazing. "The owner/host and housekeeping staff were very friendly and nice to talk to. They can arrange tuk tuk for the guests and home style food was so delicous. Due to its location, guests will need to have insects repellent spray applied at all time. Overall very nice stay at villa birdlake. "

"We wanted a relaxing and peaceful holiday with a pool and view and good service. This hotel didn’t disappoint us. There are only six rooms so the service was personal and exceptional. The hotel is located at the quieter end of the Hikkadawa stretch of beach which suited us. The livelier bars and hotels were only a short walk away too. "Alles Essen war fantastisch und gegenüber Schweizer Preisen sehr günstig. Zimmer toll, eher etwas klein, langte jedoch. Im Schrank nicht viel Platz. Tolle Aussicht vom Balkon auf‘s Meer. "The staff were excellent especially the restaurant manager and the guest relations who were very accommodating and attentive to our needs Breakfast and evening meal were very good The sea can be quite rough but enjoyable at the same time with a soft sandy beach and warm water, the pool is not very big and the beach towels not very good Once again the staff are excellent"

"Peaceful & relaxing with a beautiful beach & safe swimming. The Garden Villas were delightful & the staff genuinely friendly with good service standards. There is a lifeguard on duty who is both informative about sea conditions & the wildlife around. The birdlife is stunning. Only one small quibble in that the inner pool area could do with a bit of a clean.Other than that all good & would certainly recommend."
