"We loved that this is an independent hotel and small business. The owner is a local and cares about Montclair. The interior is decorated brilliantly and has a clever motif. For example, the rooms don't have numbers, they have names. Inside each room you will find photos of famous people with that name. "Parking was great and easy. Website indicates breakfast at 7am. Front desk tells a different story. The hotel appears to have been very nice at one time but it is apparent that current management does not care about the property."

"We visited the US from Paris and needed a place to stay for the night after a long-haul international flight with our 6-month-old baby. The hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room was SPOTLESS and they brought us a crib promptly after checking in. The bed was very comfortable and shower was really nice and luxe. Definitely recommend"

"The hotel did not inform me upon checking in that they would automatically be charging me a $10 fee for WiFi, and they would not waive the fee after I checked out. The hotel was clean and our room was nice, and the property was located in a great spot. We had drinks from the bar and the bartender seemed irritable and stressed, and our drinks were not well prepared. Overall, it was an okay stay. "
