"We stayed at Hotel Visconti during a heat wave in Europe. The hotel is nice and clean, a little out dated but charming. The staff and breakfast are fantastic, the only real gripe I had is the air conditioning is basically useless, we bought a 10 euro handheld fan from a street vendor that was keeping us more cool than the air conditioning. "Extremely noisy. My room faced Via A. Grandi, in front is a night club (oasis idroscalo). During all day everything is quiet, but around 11pm the noise started and finished exactly at 5am. (I consider myself a good sleeper, but this was the only night I couldn't sleep due to the heavy noise) I suspect the night club opens only on weekends (I'm not returning never to find out), so I recommend to ask for a room facing the other side of the avenue to suppress the noise a little bit.
