"Loved the hot tubs, location and cleanliness of the rooms. A very beautiful place. Didn’t like the $100 early checkin fee (and didn’t opt to pay it). Also we booked for two people and there was only one towel and one facecloth in the room. There are no staff onsite so nobody to give us an extra towel."

"The two rooms we had was in the new wing of hotel and still under construction. Accommodations were very nice. - e.g. heated bathroom floor and comfy beds but waaaay too many light switches. Continental breakfast was quite good, too. Would definitely stay here again at Viking Hotel on future visits. Very helpful staff/servers!!"

"This place was big n had many rms n multiple shared bthrms n well equipped shared kitchen dwnstairs. They had access combo lock on the rms n the place was well maintained. We stayed here on the last nght before our early morning flght n didnt get to spend more time. We were only there for few hrs but wish culd have spent more time. "Perfect location! Five minute walk from bus stop number nine where a lot of the guided tours pick you up. 10 to 15 minute walk to downtown and to the attractions. 20 minute walk from BSI. Really clean facility and it was a quiet, respectful hostel. Full kitchen, which helped cut food costs down. Cozy bed and blackout curtains. Highly recommend! And private showers/bathroom."

"There isn't anything listed in the listing that if you set off the smoke alarm you will pay 200 euro. You recieve that once you can't cancel. There is in the listing that you can cook there and that There is a cook top. There is no vent and the detector is like 15 feet away and the window is up on a ledge that you would have to stand on or use a chair to open it. It doesn't let in or take out much air. So your stressed out when on the notice you recieve as you can't cancel, it says it's...

"My stay at Grandi Hotel was excellent. A lot of people checking in and out, however the wait wasn’t too long and the staff were helpful and friendly. Stayed for 3 nights. Rooms were cleaned daily upon request and it was quiet on the 5th floor. Bar staff were also helpful and offered great service. Overall highly recommend if you want to stay in that area of Reykjavik."

"The rooms are very small but that is to be expected and how you are saving money compared to staying at a traditional hotel. I was surprised by how quiet it was. The shared bathrooms were not an issue and they were well kept. I appreciated being able to use the refrigerator to store some groceries and save money on breakfast.
