"My husband and I absolutely loved everything during our stay at the Pestana Palace. The decor was incredible with the painted ceilings and lavish architectural detailing. This historic property was one of the nicest we have ever stayed at. It was styled after Versailles in France. "My wife and I had a lovely stay here. The hotel is beautiful. Our room was a good size and had a good view over the gardens and river. The staff were wonderful and the service was excellent. The food was first class. The hotel is in a quiet area and a little removed from the shops, museums etc but that was fine for us. "

"They do an amazing job at making it pretty on pictures. But I was not impressed from The moment of the arrival. Lobby was super crowded. Bathrooms in the lobby were dirty, no toilet paper either only 1 stall had. If you’re going to advertise 5 star luxury it starts with cleanliness. "The convenient location right inside the rail station makes it easy to drop off luggage before heading out to sightsee. The rooms had all the amenities needed and very comfortable beds.
