"the houses were looking lovely on the internet and the house itself was clean and well maintained but it is more a hotel of value of 200 /300 reales per night. no more. the bed was cheap and terrible. the sheets were as thin as they could possible be and we didn't feel comfortable when we entered the room and found blood spatters on the wall and curtains. this doesn't fill one with confidence "

I didn’t like the small unlit sign at the road, the dirty driveway is in poor conditions, no visibility on top of the hill plus big potholes, the property sits at a steep angle to the ocean requiring big steps stairs to access the room or the pool. Lo mejor del departamento es la vista a la marina, y la ubicación ya que está arriba del shopping lo cual resulta muy práctico para realizar las compras durante la estadía. "Our spacious room was located on the third floor overlooking the pool and the bay. Unlike many resorts, the room had generous closet space for both of us. We were greeted by name upon arrival, and I appreciated the upgrade. We dined at both resort restaurants and sampled the sushi at another. We enjoyed the fresh desserts and pastries at the bakery and coffee shop. We used the gym everyday and had a blast on the beach. The concierge arranged a driver and guide for a day trip to Paraty. I highly recommend it. In addition, I was able to hike along a trail in the resort that led to a waterfall. The grounds throughout are immaculately maintained. I appreciated the staff bridging my sparse Portuguese and for allowing me to practice improving my language skills. I thank the housekeepers who ensured our space was always organized and well maintained. There is a great selection of breakfast choices either in the buffet or available on the menu. The maitre d’ was welcoming and always accommodating. Barthelemy’s is a wonderful men’s apparel shop. Be sure to check it out in the resort shopping section. After three nights, I felt completely rejuvenated and ready for the next leg of our journey through Brazil."

"Great experience, staff is amazingly friendly, Helen is a great host. Breakfast is home made, fresh and generous, very flavourful. Our room was a bit small, it needed more closet space (it didn’t have any!), fridge could use some maintenance. Location is great for beach access, although very steep in the last segment, you absolutely need a bellboy for large pieces of luggage. Great overall value!"
