"This is an elegant hotel in the period style with all the amenities that you would want for a couple's weekend or stay in Durango. It is good for families, but the majority of guests appeared to be couples and took advantage of the 3 restaurants/bars in the building, as well as easy walking distance to all places downtown. Very comfortable rooms, a beautifully decorated hotel, amazing staff, and well-maintained. Reserved parking next to the hotel for easy access and traveling."

"We loved staying at his hotel, it's in a lovely location at the side of the Animas River, people are beautiful, the food at the restaurant was very good same as my Martinis, the ladies at the front desk are friendly and welcoming, the parking lot in front of you, the only thing is that they missed to clean a room one of the days, but that we can live with. But we didn't miss the warm delicious cookies at the evening."

"They need to have better breakfast because they have the same everyday. And better maintenance in the rooms extracting fan in the bathroom was not working."

"I had brown staining on the wall in the bathroom of my room. It looked like fecal matter and was also behind the toilet. I was extremely grossed out and I would never stay here again. I had no other choice bc there were no Airbnbs available to travel with pets. Extremely gross."

"Breakfast is not free. You will be charged $5.00 per day. Also there is a $10.00 per day parking fee. If I had known about the extra fees, I would have booked elsewhere. There were 2 dogs left unattended in the next room that barked nonstop for 2 hours."

"Not really what’s advertised. The place is clean enough but could definitely use some updating. The mattress was AWFUL. Water was hot and pressure decent. The one staff I interacted with wasn’t exactly friendly, wasn’t exactly rude, just projected being bored or annoyed that she was there. Didn’t see any “free coffee.” The place is just a little hyped up on the website but what you get is a very basic, bland place to shower and sleep (but not well). Also, the pool is available “seasonally” but...

"Many issues with the facility. Doors aren’t closing, no hot water, water leaking in bathrooms, drainage issue, so many bugs in rooms"

"All camp sites were booked out so we found this little gem. Would recommend as it is newly renovated and the host was super nice and hopeful. Allllllot nicer than motels/hotels/hostels nearby and nearly the same price. Bonus little outside fire pit!"
