"If you are looking for an island vacation away from the crowds and traffic, Koh Kood is great and Shantaa is a great place to stay. Rooms are luxurious with private open air bathrooms, and a great restaurant. Swim in the pool or ocean right off the hotel grounds. Staff are kind and friendly."

"Great place to stay. Thank you for allowing nature be nature by not too much pesticide. Ants and mosquitos are normal and the mosquito net in all rooms were most useful. Some might find the bed a bit firm => tell the reception and you will get a soft top to the bed. Calm, kind, and very service oriented. I will come back."

"Staff was very professional and warm, greeted us at arrival, told us everything we needed to know and was happy to answer all questions. Rooms were spacious, with pool access out of the room being the highlight, great big bathroom with showers/massive tub. I don't want to knock the place down any stars as my only complaint was extremely smalls ants on the desktop that I noticed after check in, the room is on a tropical island with tons of insects everywhere so I don't think much can be done...

"Gorgeous location right on the bay. The cabanas were smallish and simple but completely adequate for my needs including a small refrigerator and a hot water kettle. The bed was large and very comfy. They provided bottled water and replenished the coffee and tea daily. The daily breakfast was tasty and had several options. They will also help with dietary restrictions as needed. "The hotel is horrendous. It's a misrepresentation of what is showed on Hotel.com. We stayed at this place for 3 days out of the 7 days. Whilst we activate our credit card for this part of the world. This was the worst stay in my entire life, I got a migraine from the lack of sleep due to mosquitoes coming into the room during the night. Mind you we had our windows and doors closed.
