When I arrived by tour boat after a day of hiking Nea Kameni Volcano. The tour operator gave us the option to disembark in the Port of Oia. If you are not prepared to climb all the way uptown the 500 over steps, then think again. Well, I braved the climb up but before I did I lingered for a bit in the port and snapped this scene.

I decided to hike my way up atop the town of Oia from the port where the cruise alighted passengers. The hike up was No joke. The Aegean Sun at 3:00pm was sweltering. And on top of that , I had to share the path up with donkeys... thank god I didn’t step on donkey poop on my way up.
