"A lovely traditional pub within striking distance of many beautiful places. The food was always great particularly the breakfast and came out wonderfully hot and on hot place which is so often an issue in other hotels. It's lovely to sit out in the garden and we were staying while the World Cup and Wimbledon were on and it was easy to catch the games in the evening but also lots of space to get away from the action. "Breakfast excellent but the meat at theSunday carvery wasn't covered by staff all the time and consequently blue bottle flies were walking over the roast beef which put you off. When said about it to the staff member she just smiled and gave a little laugh. Not the most suitable answer. Otherwise the stay was very good."

"We really liked the convenience factor for the wedding we were attending in Eridge. The rooms (x3) were basic with a king bed ( a Superking would have fitted) , two old looking arm chairs ( from a care home?) a VERY modern glass desk and modern oak headboard. The paint colours on the walls were nice, but the carpet was a sort of light charcoal (sensible rather than pretty) and the huge Roman blind was a strong cream with two strips of dark brown either side.
