"The main house, gardens and grounds were excellent and well maintained. Our room in the Mews was very large with french windows opening on to a shared patio, essential in this heat. There was no air conditioning, or fan and our phone in the room did not work. We were supplied with a faulty portable fan, but in the end the open doors provided enough cooling air. The shower was superb with enough hot water whenever we needed it. We could have done with a table and chairs to sit and organise paperwork etc.
Breakfast was good with a cold continental buffet and a hot cooked selection as extra. On the second morning they were short staffed and we were given a refund on our breakfast for the delay. The dining room in the house was lovely with exposed stone and wooden timbered ceiling and great views of the garden. In the evening we ate at the Spa which was very good with excellent service.
The spa facilities were well maintained and we enjoyed the outdoor pool in the garden and the outdoor spa."
