There was a door open at the end of the first floor hallway that led outside. this was Saturday and it was open all day. "The continental breakfast was good - a variety of fresh baked goods, yogurts, fresh fruits, granola, teas, and the coffee was excellent! It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works. "Well-maintained facility by the hard-working family that runs the Putney Inn. Rooms were clean and quiet. They accommodated a very late check-in without complaint. Great value for money. Only reason it's not a 4 star is that there is some normal wear and tear on the property. But overall I highly recommend it."
