"The Lodge is not for everyone as it has the quirkiness of anything that is old. Floors are uneven, doors don't always fit, lighting is terrible for reading, ( bring your own reading light ) there is no AC or an elevator, yet we love this place and return once a year. "Absolutely amazing experience for my big family. We hiked from Crested Butte to Aspen and celebrated our son’s 10th birthday at the hotel. They helped us make it special for him in every way, with absolutely NO notice from me. They just went above and beyond, and the property was great! We’ll definitely be back."
