"Lovely property with all rooms within reasonable distance of the car park and reception. Very polite and highly trained receptionists. Room good size, nice coffee maker, clean fresh comfortable bed with nice pillows. Enjoyed trying out the Dyson hairdryer. Bath nice and long. "The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful."

"The room was dirty and the furniture was very worn and tatty. I checked in at 9 pm and the hotel was clearly pretty empty. Breakfast was very small and expensive. My son went golfing in the morning, but despite this very rude front desk staff member kicked me out of my room at 11am wanting to 50 GBP to stay another couple of hours. There were silverfish bugs in the bathroom. If you are used to higher standards, avoid this hotel."

"A nice clean room, friendly and helpful staff. The pillows were overly firm, a "pillow menu" is available but we arrived late and decided not to use this. The air conditioning actually workd and cooled the room to the point where I had to increase the temperature and turn don the fan speed. The breakfast tasted amazing, nicely cooked food that hadn't gone dry even by 9:30! All big wins - thank you"

On the first day at the reception I was given a room that takes about 6 minutes to walk,I went with 2 suitcases up a steep hill till the hotel area.the weather was really really hot.was not offered for someone to give me a hand! Then 1 flight up no lift.came there was exhausted as hell.no a/c in the rooms only small fan.did not sleep well 3 nights.in the morning 7.50 a.m working was going on on the roof really loud noise..so could not enjoy some...

"There was a pool, sauna and steam room. I went with my 12 year old and there were times kids could use these facilities (and the seating area outside the pool), these were 9-10 and 2 hours (think it was 4-6pm). Under 16s not allowed in the heat rooms. Got towels given to us at the pool to use. Overall a great stay, nice food and kid friendly."
