We had a lovely stay. The room was really comfortable and had everything we needed. The food and drink were excellent. The breakfast was very enjoyable. The staff were fantastic, really friendly and professional.

A lovely stay

Beautiful hotel. Lovely friendly staff and fantastic meals. We felt very welcome and nothing eas too much trouble. We were even reserved the best table in the restaurant.

A wonderfully relaxing stay

A treasure of a hotel worth the cost. Very clean rooms with comfy bed and a bath with shower over. Restaurant food was delicious, well priced as well as breakfast which was ordered the night before and you could eat leisurely. Our room included entry to Waddesdon Manor which was a bonus. Car parking was easy. Staff pleasant.

Enjoyed our stay

Nice hotel and had a lovely meal in restaurant. It was a bit noisy due to private party but that’s our issue due to going to sleep early! Good breakfast too.

A wonderful older hotel and restaurant. I stayed in the tiny single room - this is not a complaint, it’s a great little room for one person. Some people in reviews have complained about road noise - they should be realistic about their expectations. It’s an old property right next to a road. If you are someone that’s sensitive to road noise

Lovely hotel and food. Let down by the need to preorder breakfast and then at breakfast keep having to ask for all the things you had preordered - seemed a little pointless.

Hotel is perfect location for Waddesdon Manor however the rooms fairly basic and it’s right on a busy road which prevented sleep with the lorry's passing all night Dinner was excellent but breakfast we felt like we were an inconvenience to the seemingly busy lady

Love this hotel. Excellent location for Waddesdon manor. Looking a bit tired though. Like most places at the moment think it’s having trouble getting staff. But staff that were there were lovely

Good stay. I booked last minute and I arrived late in the evening so it was dark. The telephone number on the first door approached does not work. Fortunately stumbled across the other door, not very well lit. Once I had a conversation with the night keeper all went well.

Pros: - Excellent staff - Delicious breakfast - Bags of character (don't miss Waddesdon Manor) Cons: - Noisy road in front (we asked for rear room, Room 1, which is comfortable but a bit neat sizewise) Small issues: - Shower head broken (could not be attached to riser) but will be fixed - Rear access door below bedroom slammed every time people entered/left but will be fixed Overall, enjoyed our stay and recommended.

Expensive for a single room, tiny desk, no room for your suitcase small television, tiny sink in the small bathroom, noisy traffic close to the busy road.You can spend less for a descent size room with many of the large chain of hotels. Plus was breakfast was included. Luckily i paid less than the standard price for this small single room. Location that’s what you pay for with this accommodation.
