"Great people friendly staff"

"Love this place and all the rooms. Third visit for me and will continue to come back. Wine bar is so extra! And the breakfast was delightful! Highly recommend!"

"From the moment we entered the property, we felt like we had stepped into a different world. The beautiful structure of the home, the peaceful atmosphere, and how wonderfully maintained everything was made the entire place feel so welcoming and enchanting. Mr Colonel Mark was an excellent host! He recommended a wonderful place for us to have dinner, and the breakfast he prepared the next morning was absolutely incredible. "The room was larger than I was exoecting."

"Great location and cute decor."

"Awesome stay. Very convenient location. Breakfast was great. Very clean and comfortable bed."

"One of the most beautiful hotel rooms I’ve ever spent the night in! Loved the high ceilings, blackout curtains and ample lighting. There is a train that occasionally runs close to the hotel, but the sound machine and earplugs included in the room helped to provide a peaceful rest! Staff was very kind, from the front desk to the restaurant. Will definitely return!"

"Great proximity to UGA"

Our room was clean, spacious and had a small fridge with freezer as well as a microwave oven and coffee maker in the room. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the breakfast buffet definitely worked for grab and go. We especially liked that they had hot coffee in the lobby all day."

"The hotel was under construction and the elevator was down. I didn’t use the pool or hot tub. So, I can’t speak to that. However, my room was clean and really nice. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I slept wonderfully. The breakfast was great with many options for grab and go. I would highly recommend Wingate Athens."

"Room was clean and nice. I would recommend bringing your own pillow. The pillow is provided were not the best, and didn’t have any support for my neck being too soft. Outside of that, everything else is great!"

"This hotel has drainage problems . We have stayed several different times and the shower and sinks draining is an issue almost everytime but the location is nice"

"The first night they shut the access to the motel at 8 o'clock. They were paving the main street in front of it. They did not warn you about it when I checked in and I didn't know how to come in the back by.."
