Avoid – Terrible Service
Our stay was very disappointing due to poor preparation and service.
The hot tub—the main reason we booked—was unusable for the first 3 nights of our 5 night stay. On arrival it was without power, the water level was below jets, the water was cold and dirty. Despite sending photos, we were told it had been prepared. A contractor arrived on night 3 with only a bucket and a cloth, didn’t know how to drain the tub, scooped dirty water out onto balcony using bucket. No cleaning products were seen. Filling and “cleaning” took 2.5hours of our evening. We had to ask how to get power to it . Heating took another 24hours, not the one hour promised. The host still refuses to acknowledge it wasn’t prepared.
Other issues included kettle tripping electrics (replaced on day three), incorrect Wi‑Fi details given, no info / welcome pack, no rubbish disposal info, no washing‑machine or heating instructions, missing AC remote batteries, only 4 mismatched dining chairs for 8 person unit, only 2 balcony chairs, no bottled water, damaged plaster and a leaking sink.
Rooftop door locked. Had to ask how to access. The pool was closed but v. small, no seating on roof. Roof top overlooked our balcony so no privacy. Local area is run‑down, next to major road, and a 20–30 min walk from key sites.
The apartment is spacious with comfy beds but poor service overshadowed our stay. The Edge gave under 10% refund but still stay hot tub was prepared. Expedia were supportive though.
