When I arrived, my room/bathroom was clean, but smelled like marijuana. The TV was on. The bed was made, honestly it seemed like maybe an employee went in the room to hang out, watch TV and smoke weed. I went to the front desk to request a new room and was told they didn't have any available rooms. I couldn't be moved until the next day. I am allergic to smoke so this was a major issue for me. I was exhausted so I accepted it and I was moved the next day to a clean room. My next issue occurred when I contacted Expedia (Expedia was very apologetic and tried to assist me), and they reached out to the hotel to request an approval of a refund for the one night I had to stay in a smoke filled room. While the general staff was accommodating, they told me that the manager would have to approve my refund. The manager never contacted or followed up with Expedia to approve my refund, never contacted me, and never assisted me after my incident with the smoky room (this was supposed to be a non-smoking hotel). The issue is not Expedia, the general staff or even the accommodations (the hotel was nice and enjoyable once I was removed to a better room). The issue is the lack of follow up from the manager.
