"Such a great stay this week. The room was nicely renovated. The bed was comfortable and the rain head shower was magnificent! The staff were so friendly and made check in/out so easy. We enjoyed the pool that was very refreshing for the hot day. We will stay here again when visiting!"

"The restaurant next door was no longer open. We did find a lovely Italian restaurant just a mile or two down the road. Many places within a few minutes drive. "

"I quite enjoyed my stay at the Mountaineer Inn. I went for Lurch Fest (in August), a fest for Philippi native Ted Cassidy, tv’s original Lurch. I had read reviews before I booked so know that there have been some upgrades. They DO have key cards and shampoo in the bathrooms. I saw some new flooring so it looks like renovations have started. "It was a rustic cabin, it had power, microwave, a good size fridge. Easy to get to, could park right out front. Had use of our own port-a-potty. Walking distance to the creek. Kids loved playing it in. Dog friendly. Owner was very friendly. We happen to come during out of normal hot temps… but at night still very comfortable. WiFi is only at the main house and had bring being our own bedding, that was unclear on this site… but on the main website it’s much more clear. Thanks again! If I ever...
