"Beautiful setting and redone gated farmhouse opposite Orvieto. Nice continental breakfast with view (but ants!). Simple dinner available. Had to call multiple numbers before I found someone to check me in. Waited a while. Clerk didn’t speak English so didn’t help much with concierge info (American owners aren’t on site). Maids noisy early in morning. Can’t get taxis so had to pay driver 35€ every time to Orvieto. (Funicular not working!)"

"What a wonderful experience. We rolled into Bolsena on a whim in a Friday evening in April. The place we’d booked online was closed! So we found Casa di Agatha online and made a reservation. When we pulled up is was dark and also looked closed, but soon Tiziano pulled up to let us in. The rooms are in a very old and beautifully preserved building. The room was nice and comfortable, but the staff was quite indifferent, polite, although somewhat inflexible and not very willing to help when we asked for something out of the ordinary and we never felt particularly welcomed or cared for.
