"Location was great and the room was spacious. It worked well for my family of 4. Keep in mind this place does not have air conditioning. We opened the windows to get a cross breeze and turned on the fans which made it easier to sleep. My son loved the small pool at the end of the day and the daily breakfast was nice."

"easy check in, super clean rooms, smelled like cigarettes in the morning around facility and inside rooms - smoking shouldn’t be allowed in any capacity in any manner at all - very nice receptionist checking in. Around a 25 minute walk to train station. Giant super market five minutes away"

"Nice property. This old building is a reasonable walking distance to the downtown and the burger place right beside it is 10/10! The four person room was great as the two twin beds are upstairs in a loft area. The kids got their own space to spread out. The beds are hard, but clean. Bathroom was a good size and as expected. Obviously, no AC but they provided fans on each level."

"Spacious, Comfortable Stay with Excellent Service We stayed at Appart'City Confort Cherbourg for one night on our journey home, and it was an excellent choice. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive both on arrival and at check-out, making us feel very welcome. Our studio apartment was much larger than we expected, with a separate seating area and TV, a comfortable double bedroom, and a spacious bathroom with a lovely shower. It was ideal for relaxing after a long day of travelling. The location is excellent, with easy access to the town and port, making it a very convenient place to stay before or after a ferry crossing. There is really only one area that could be improved: some form of air conditioning would make a big difference, especially during warmer weather. Apart from that, we couldn't fault our stay. Overall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable overnight stay and would happily choose to stay here again when travelling through Cherbourg."

"This was our second stay at the Churchill, and it was just as good as the first. Fabulous historic building, bedroom clean and cool (air conditioning!), friendly staff and a good breakfast."

"We stayed at this Hotel in June while visiting all the WW2 sites and doing 3 tours . The hotel was fabulous could not fault , near to everything , the welcome we received from Etienne was amazing from checking in to vacating and helping out with train suggestions and printing out tickets was incredible, the personal touches from this gentleman was truly a hugh asset for the Hotel , and a true professional , polite & friendly . The cleaning team were amazing and our room was cleaned daily . Breakfast was plentiful and fresh . Thank you for a fabulous stay and we would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to future guests and if back in Normandy would most definitely book again ."

"The location and property itself were wonderful. Our room was spacious and with the property set back from the street, it was a quiet stay. The decor is charming, and staff were friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again in the future."

"Staff were so welcoming. Room was clean, bathroom was recently updated and had a/c which was so nice with abnormally higher temps. The hotel fit the look of the city and was yet modern in the room. They offered laundering service which was so helpful. Hotel was very walkable to the numerous cafe’s. Great place would recommend to book here."

"Top tier establishment; with friendly staff, exceptional A+ breakfast buffet, super clean facility, exceptionally clean rooms, quiet. stopped off for 2 days, then extended a day on our walk from Dunkirk to Cherbourg. Don’t hesitate to book and don’t listen to any of the negative reviews! Exceptional!!!! (a bar by the people or area for adults only (seperate pool or mini pool), would be an added bonus in the future? :) Keep up the great work!!! Loved it!"
