facility in the hotel are bit old, but still work.
Clean, big rooms, good variety breakfast. But the best about this hotel is the great service of the stuff. Especially Finral, Aytan, Narmin, and Batula.
Perhaps arriving late (after 10pm and leaving early 3am on a short Grand Prix break smdid not allow me to experience the hotel at its best. The breakfast was average and the decor “Soviet” and there was lots of building work going on in the surrounding area. The safe did not work and I did not have time to address this. There was little charm, but it was clean, functional and reasonably priced.
Enjoyed Baku. Interesting mix of old style Soviet era with newer oil funded buildings and parks. Looks like most people in Baku live in apartment blocks.
Arrived at 10:30 am, was able to check-in. Two bottles of water were offered everyday, even if I still have some in the room - nice gesture. One day, my wake-up call was late, I heard the phone call when I already left the room for breakfast, received the call when I returned to my room. Mistake was made, good thing that it was not ignored. Wake-up call on the next day was on time. Always have fruits at breakfast and a working toaster. Service at the front desk is excellent.

Atrocious hotel. Made for a very uncomfortable stay
We weren’t expecting either a 5 star service or facilities in a budget hotel, however the levels of service and comfort were still disappointing.
The photos of the hotel on this site are deceptive. The entrance is awkward and blocked by cars – making it very difficult to navigate our babies pushchair through. There are several awkward steps instead of a lift to reach reception. No one from the hotel is there to help with luggage until you reach the reception desk.
While the hotel was clean, it didn’t look as appealing as the photos. The dining area had a really low rent feel and when bread or pancakes ran out at breakfast, the staff were slow to replace it until asked.
The above wasn’t enough to ruin our stay, however, not being able to sleep for 2 consecutive nights definitely was. In July, the hotel was hot and stuffy inside and the air conditioning was failing to cool the room. Their maintenance guy initially remarked it would improve. 2 hours later the room he agreed that is was uncomfortably when he revisited. He seemed understanding, but said there wasn’t anything he could do until tomorrow and no more rooms were available. We slept a very uncomfortable, sweaty night. Our 9 month old daughter was violently sick the following day.
We were told the air conditioning would be fixed the next day. Our room was still too hot. The maintenance staff said there was nothing he could do. I would never stay here again.
Nice hotel, quiet , clean rooms, friendly stuff, at the centre of the city, but still constructions going on around the hotel, no convenient parking for car, no good view from the windows...
Everything was exceptional, clean, and comfortable. The only critique we have is very minor. This is that the pillows were very flat and we only had two for our king size bed. This being said the staff were always smiling and friendly. Even when there was miscommunication between expedia and the hotel, the staff called expedia and got the situation taken care of promptly. And we can't emphasize enough how clean the place was and spacious our room was. We would definitely stay here again!
A nicely presented hotel with good English speaking staff. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Fountain Square and the old city. The square and path leading up to the hotel detract from the hotel.
