"This is the second time staying and it was rather disappointing. Two of the water slides were not in use, which reception did not inform me about at check in. Instead of removing what looked like the leg of a broken fibre glass model of what I assume was an emus leg by the mini golf course it was left there which wad dangerous and not a good look. We were disturbed by maintenance while there wishing to install fly screen at windows, in addition the cabin we stayed at the previous year was still...

"No kitchen in our room, had a toaster, microwave, jug, fridge but no place to wash dishes except for a very small sink in bathroom. Nice new block out curtains, bed comfy, pillows were not. No table and chairs but it did have a 2 seater couch. Only place in town that served food was the pub."

"Historic hotel, reminiscent of Fawlty Towers, complete with winding corridors and creaking floorboards. Has retained a lot of its historic character. Our spa room was comfortable with a veranda facing the ocean. Very good, quirky bistro."

"I was shocked how poor this place was after booking it seeing a 9.4 rating on it. It's that really old motel-like vibe. I wouldn't recommend it unless it's just a convenient short overnight sleep."

"Good parking. Nice restaurant / takeway on-site. Small room with table & 2 chairs, nice bathroom, cutlery and plates but no cooking facilities only microwave, jug, toaster, fridge, no freezer. No sink or anywhere to wash dishes and cups, but a tea towel available. Room needed airing on arrival. Needs new curtains. Handy to supermarket, gas. Only 7 min drive to Port Elliot or Granite Island causeway."

"We had a wonderful two night stay at hotel california. We were late to check in, however was seamless for us after hours to speak to staff and get the run down, checked into the room just as the sun was setting over the vineyards. A stunning place to stay, easily located with everything you need within 10 min drive. We hired bikes from SA E Bikes and got them dropped to the property, we rode around the local wineries all day and ended our day back here to do a tasting. "
