James Farmhouse is an old home with plenty of room and some creature comforts. The wood fireplace saw use as 4 couples enjoyed a cool long weekend. Ample room in the lounge and dining. Nice gardens. The house had 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets and a meals table in the kitchen meant chats whilst meals were cooked. Plenty of cooking gear and options. Rear drinks area. Walk to the tavern or shop. Both basic but you could get a meal (book on weekends).

Well laid out accomodation, lots of firewood/kindling to keep us warm (as well as air con), very short walk to local eateries and short drive to wineries. We chose not to cook but from what I saw the kitchen was well kitted out. Highly recommend.

A rustic cottage with everything you need.
We stayed in the Rose Cottage which looked a bit dated and rustic, and did not look very attractive on the outside. Once we went in, it was fine - clean, comfortable and cozy. Although we did not use the fire place, we could imagine it would be lovely in winter.

Great location and fantastic accommodation!
MJ Yurts was so clean we thought it was brand new. Beautiful and very well stocked. The yurt was a first class accommodation! Owners were so friendly and welcoming. Lots to do in the area with many wineries and Giraween Park close by. Would highly recommend staying there.

The yurt was meticulously maintained and the location was perfect for checking out the local wineries and stores. The tavern across the road and the cafe were both excellent.

It was our second time to visit MJs Yurt this time. And nevertheless, the yurt was in perfect condition. Perfect location to visit the beautiful Girraween National Park and a lovely drive from Brisbane those who love to roadtrip!

Lovely, clean comfortable stay
We had a great stay at MJs Yurts. The owners obviously take a great deal of pride in their accommodation and everything was lovely and clean and well presented. We loved the fire, especially as it got pretty chilly in Ballendean in winter.

A very comfortable stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at MJ Yurts (we were in Zuny). It was quite spacious inside, had everything we needed plus comfy beds and heating was great as it was quite cool in Stanthorpe when we were there. It's in a great central position with more than a dozen wineries just in close proximity. There is also a tavern across the road for meals and/or a drink as well as a small grocery/bakery just down the road. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to others.

The room was clean, cozy and comfortable. Owner placed a lot of attention to details - well equipped kichenette, thick towels, quality toiletries, brochures and information about the region. Most of all the room had a fireplace!

Fabulous comfortable accommodation
Just spent 2 fabulous nights in the Zuny yurt. This place is amazingly comfortable and spacious with all the mod cons. Could not fault anything and would definitely recommend to friends. The location is perfect and so cozy, peaceful and relaxing. Hope to be back one day!

Relaxing
Arrived and didn't have to think about a thing. It was all there. Very comfortable and spacious. Only thing it didn't have was microwave dishes. Other than that everything was perfect. Couldn't hear any road noise. Cold outside but warm inside. Well positioned to everything we wanted to do. Thoroughly recommend.

Very homely and cosy getaway in the nature
We stayed at MJs Yurt Namar with another couple for 2 nights and 3 days. Coming from Brisbane, Ballandean was a little chilly but the yurt was a lovely cosy place. Equipped with a nice fireplace and spacious bedroom and living area, we had a fantastic weekend. Located 10 minutes drive from the beautiful Girraween National Park and with convenient stores located nearby. The yurt is equipped with all kitchenware you'll need for general cooking and plenty of plates and wine glasses!

Comfortable and close to Girraween.
MJ's yurts are well situated being close to Girraween National Park, wineries and other attractions. There is a general store and tavern a short walk. Our yurt was very comfortable and had a lovely view from inside.
